The Experience

As darkness cloaks the land below, marvel at the stars above from Primland Resort's fully-equipped observatory. Taking exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains to a whole new level, Primland’s altitude and the unusual clarity of the night sky mean that you can study the stars, planets, nebulae, and other celestial objects without the dulling effects of ambient light. With Celestron CGE Pro 1400 and CPC 800 telescopes, enjoy extraordinary glimpses of the heavens and our solar system year round.

Junior Astronomers

Celebrate early autumn in the Telescope Dome with the little stars in your life. Families with children 10 and under are invited for an exclusive twilight tour to spot the first evening stars, gaze at Saturn through our CPC 800 telescope and discover more celestial wonders. Each night promises a unique adventure under the stars.

Stargazing Paint and Sip

Join our Observatory team at sunset for an unforgettable evening of sweeping mountain views and creative inspiration. Guided by our experts, you’ll capture the beauty of the cosmos in a celestial-themed acrylic painting experience.
